Pioneering industry innovation and excellence at Construct Talks
One of the headline sessions, “From design to delivery: Navigating the complexities of execution,” will explore common disconnects between design intent and on-site execution. Speakers will unpack coordination breakdowns and late-stage design changes through practical case studies, offering strategies to improve collaboration and minimize delivery delays. The panel features Khalil Al Saeedi, Executive Director, Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) and Ghassan Softah, Vice President, Mechanical Engineering Chapter, Saudi Council of Engineers, offering perspectives that bridge client priorities with regulatory oversight.
The programme also features a fireside chat, “Safety beyond compliance: Embedding a culture of care on site”, which will examine how project teams can move from checklist-driven compliance toward behaviour-based safety practices. Moderated by Esmail Alqadhi, MSc, CSP, Senior Executive Manager, HSS at Bupa Arabia and joined by Dr Wael Samy Abdelghany, HSE Director – Non Haramain Projects, Saudi Binladin Group, the session will discuss strategies for safety management in high-density, live and operational project environments. With a focus on empowering supervisors and building collective accountability, the conversation will highlight practical approaches to reducing incidents and strengthening safety culture across the Kingdom’s construction sites.
Day two of the event will also feature a networking event hosted by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), providing attendees the opportunity to connect with peers, engage with international expertise and explore pathways for advancing professional standards within Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing construction industry.
